TEHRAN -- President Mohammad Khatami on Sunday felicitated the auspicious occasion of birth anniversary of Fatemeh Zahra (AS), the beloved daughter of Prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon Him).

Chairing a cabinet meeting marking "Women Day", the president lauded the extensive role of women in running the affairs.

President Khatami also congratulated the birth anniversary of Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic, IRNA reported.

During the cabinet session, minister of industries and mines gave a report on industrial development plan.

The government assigned various executive organizations to study feasibility of the plan.
